The Spanish Nursery and Children’s Centre for Culture and Language is once again having a May Half Term Camp!

From 27th May until 30th May from 9am until 5pm - Open to all children from 5 years old until 8 years old (no knowledge of Spanish necessary)
The full 4-day program costs £120 (food included) or day sessions at £35
Some of the activities we are planning are:
- Tuesday, Story-Book-Making-Workshop with a visit from a children’s book illustrator and a trip to a local Bookshop
- On Wednesday the children will enjoy a day of Music and explore different sounds and noises
- Thursday, it’s all about Playing Gymkhana with a visit to the Olympic Park!
- On Friday, the plan is to bake and cook, finishing up the week with a picnic in the park
All of these activities and visits will be coordinated to support in the development of the children’s social and communication skills, self-esteem and problem solving skills. 
A final schedule will be sent to all the parents of registered children. Places are limited so please let us know if you are interested in a place for your child. First come – first served! (Additional information: Siblings discount 10%, we accept most vouchers.)

Easter Break Fun!

Dear Parents and Friends,
The Spanish Nursery and Children’s Centre for Culture and Language announces
Easter Break Fun! From 7 April until 17 April, 9am until 5pm Open to all children aged 4 to 8 years old (no previous knowledge of Spanish necessary)
The full 9-day program will cost £270 per child or day sessions at £35 with food included (Siblings discount 10%; most vouchers accepted)
During the Easter Break, we will offer fun activities including but not limited to: egg-making workshops, an egg hunt, outings to Ingestre Woods, Hampstead Heath and the library, Spanish films and interactive games.
All of these activities will be coordinated by our qualified bilingual team to support the children with their social and communication skills, self-esteem and problem solving skills.
A detailed activities plan will be sent to the parents of registered children.
There are only 12 places available and we have already started receiving bookings so please let us know if you are interested soon (first come – first served!) (Please note due to the very limited number of places available and the high demand, places are not guaranteed until paid in full and we will not be able to provide refunds once the event has started.)

"CELEBRANDO LOS CARNAVALES! CELEBRATING CARNIVALS!"
From 17th February until 21st February from 9am to 5pm
(you can drop/pick up at any time but they will be missing some of the fun)
Open to all children aged 4 to 8 years old

The children will enjoy activities including but not limited to: mask-making workshop, a parade, outings to Hampstead Heath and the library, computer use, Spanish films and interactive games.
We will also be celebrating the Chinese New Year! All of these activities will be coordinated to support in the development of their social and communication skills, self-esteem and problem solving skills.

Dear Parents,
We are coming close to being able to offer placements for January 2014 start.
We want to invite you to join us for an Open Day at TSN on Monday, 2nd December 2013 between 10am and 11:30am.
Meet the staff and our lovely children and join in making Christmas decorations.
The staff and Directors will be available to answer your questions. Please bring the children along, they are best placed to 'show' you where they want to be.
We believe we have a lot to offer… come and visit us.
If 2nd December if not convenient for you and you wish to make another appointment, please do not hesitate to contact me and we will arrange a visit at a time convenient to you.

Please join us for a Play Date for 0-5 year olds on Friday 20th September from 10am until 11:30am at The Spanish Nursery and Children's Centre for Culture and Language featuring “Bilingual Beats” as guest stars (all children welcome – no need to be registered at the nursery nor Spanish!)
“Bilingual Beats is an early childhood (0-5 years old) bilingual music programme that integrates the learning of both music and foreign language in a fun and creative way. With Bilingual Beats children learn to move rhythmically, to sing, and to develop listening and improvisation skills, while they acquire vocabulary and structures in a second language. This learning happens through playful, developmentally appropriate activities.”

The Spanish Nursery and Children's Centre for Culture and Language announces the May Half Term Fun!
May half term Fun - from Tuesday 28/05/2013 until Friday 31/05/2013 from 9am until 5pm; open to all children age 4 to 8 year old; 'La Fiesta del Libro' - activities will centre around the importance of enjoying reading and sharing books.
There will be outdoor activities included in the programme, trips to the local library, exploring a variety of books and exploring the exciting world of story telling.

The bilingual staff will support their natural curiosity and guide it towards the importance of reading and having fun sharing books and knowledge, regardless of the subject.

Giant Paper Mâché Easter Egg Art Workshop

For five consecutive Wednesdays (4pm until 5:30pm) from the
27th of February until the 20th of March there will be an exciting
Art Workshop for 5-10 year old children – Create a Giant Paper Mâché Easter Egg. The sessions will culminate in a fantastic egg hunt at the Ingestre Woods on Wednesday March 27th followed by a party at The Spanish Nursery to which the entire family can come along!
You can't miss it, it'll be eggstra Special!
Spanish Artist Isabel Castro Jung will be teaching the sessions and will help the children with their wonderful designs.

The Spanish Nursery Christmas Gift Drive for Maya Centre

Dear friends,
During the Christmas Season sometimes we forget that there are people less fortunate than us. With this in mind, the Directors and Advisory Committee of The Spanish Nursery would like to ask for your kind donations of gifts for the women (and children) of the Maya Centre.
"The Maya Centre provides free psychodynamic counselling and group psychotherapy for women on low incomes living in Islington. They run projects to provide counselling for refugees and asylum-seekers, older women and women affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse. And the service is provided in several languages.”
- We ask that any gifts for women be lightly wrapped with a bow or clear wrapping (some ideas are bath & body hampers, handbags, etc.)
- And for the children of some of the women, please wrap the gifts with festive wrapping paper but include the age and whether it's for a boy or girl.
Please bring your donations to The Spanish Nursery at Ingestre Road Community Centre any day until Wednesday 12 December (between 10am and 2pm) or contact Aliette on 07817 800 075 and to organise a pick up/delivery.
(If you are a member of the Tufnell Park Parents Support Group and are coming to the Christmas party on Saturday feel free to bring your gifts on that day.)
